The first UK ADT Group workshop aims to showcase current research and best practice in head and neck reconstruction and related fields. It will provide a forum for UK medical specialists, researchers, industry and students to discuss and identify future research challenges. The outputs from the day will be presented on the world stage at the 5th ADT conference in Beijing, Sept. 2014.

Research and applications of technologies in surgery are evolving rapidly. This workshop aims to provide a valuable and accessible platform for those with interests in the area to get involved.

We would like to invite UK groups or individuals to submit a presentation and/or posters that demonstrate how advanced digital technologies are being used or developed in areas such as:

  • head and neck reconstruction;
  • medical imaging;
  • training and simulation;
  • functional outcomes;
  • orthodontics/orthognathic surgery;
  • custom and osseointegrated implants;
  • biomaterials/nanotechnology;
  • prosthetics;
  • other areas of research related to 3D printing, computer aided design etc. for biomedical applications;
  • healthcare economics
